Insulation and the steel gauge of a door is important. As well as how much time you plan on spending in and around the garage. Insulation plays a key factor, in that you want to be comfortable in a cooled garage. R-Value is a measurement of thermal efficiency of your garage door. The higher the R-Value the better! Ask us about insulating your door in affordable ways! If you have basketballs, or bicycles hitting the garage door, you will need to consider the heavier gauge steel, such as a 24 gauge. Remember, the lower the number, the stronger the steel.
Openers are a necessity these days, unless you want to manually lift your garage door. We always recommend the belt drive openers, anything else will give you immense problems down the road, costing you more money. Make sure you understand how heavy your door is, so you can correlate an opener strong enough to control and open your door for years to come.
